About The Position
Job Title : Operating Room Technician Job Specialty : Neuro Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour shifts, daytime (D8D12) with call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : 2 years in Level 1 Trauma OR License : CSTVA Registration required Certifications : BLS required (AHA) Must-Have : Strong neuro / ortho spine and craniotomy experience Job Description : - Weekday call includes 2 shifts of 8-hour call per schedule (11 : 30 PM - 7 : 00 AM).
- Weekend call consists of 3 shifts of 12-hour call per schedule (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM). - Must respond within 45 minutes to calls.
- Will float to other service lines in the main operating room as needed once neuro cases are completed. - Facility has 25 operating rooms, handling 45-60 cases per day.
- Experience with neuro trauma, DBS procedures, and a range of spine surgeries, from simple one-level to complex 10+ level cases.
- Scrubs are provided for all staff. - Weekend shifts require availability for two 12-hour shifts per schedule. - On-call expectations involve weekday and weekend shifts as defined in the schedule.
- Participation in holiday work is required as needed.
