Position Overview

Job Title : Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

Location : Montgomery / Aurora, Illinois

Status : Full-time

Key Requirements

• Technical Expertise : 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, particularly in a processing and packaging environment.
• Certifications : Relevant certifications such as HVAC, PLC, or OSHA safety certifications are highly desirable.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues efficiently.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, including lifting equipment, standing for long periods, and working in various temperature conditions.
• Education : High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or technical training in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs : Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, and perform repairs or adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections, using the company’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
• Collaboration : Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure machinery meets operational standards and supports production schedules.
