Our Fort Worth location is a surgical center focusing on adult care.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BLS and ACLS required for Fort Worth Location
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- 2-3 Years Experience as a PACU / PAT RN
- Cognitive skills as related to the position

Position Summary
This position handles inbound pre-operative patients to ensure patients receive quality pre-operative screening for our surgical procedures and Post anesthetic care patients emerging from the haze of anesthesia.
There are a number of tasks a PACU nurse needs to perform in a post-operative unit such as guiding patients to consciousness and assisting them in handling personal needs in the first few hours after surgery.
Position Responsibilities
Pre-admissions Testing Nurse Duties :
- Completes required orientation as directed by facility
- Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
- Follows facility Unusual Occurrence Protocol
- Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
- Upholds HIPAA regulations
- Punctual and dependent for assigned / confirmed shifts
Preoperative Duties of PACU Nurse :
- Manage patients’ admission processes to preoperative department in a hospital
- Assess the status of patients’ health in pre-op and ensure accuracy of identification wristband
- Ensure that operative and informed consents are in order
- Determine the surgeon and procedure being carried out
- Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
- Initiate IVs and ensure that patients are informed about the procedure and attending medical staff
