About The Position
Job Title : RN - PACU Job Specialty : Critical Care Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : - Minimum of two years experience in a PACU setting- Critical care background- Experience in a similar-sized hospital or trauma center License : - Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred Must-Have : - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (Bachelor’s degree preferred)- Good verbal and written communication skills- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors- Some computer skills Job Description : - Provide nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
- Assist physicians in the examination of patients and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe their physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medication as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.- Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient in sharing the care plan during hospitalization and discharge.
- Inform patients and their families about hospital procedures, and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other designated duties.
