Job Description : We are seeking skilled and reliable Surgical Technologists (Surgical Techs) with hospital experience to join our team on a per diem basis.
As a Surgical Tech, you will play a crucial role in the operating room, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up sterile instruments and equipment.
- Assisting surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
- Ensuring all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and accounted for before and after procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile environment to prevent infections.
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and communicating any changes to the surgical team.
- Assisting with post-operative care and transportation of patients.
Education and Certification Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Previous experience working in a hospital operating room setting is required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
