Commercial Service Technician

Job Summary : At SafeTouch Security, our Commercial Security Systems Service Technicians are responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing security systems in commercial properties.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- M aintain or repair commercial security systems, including access control, CCTV, gate systems, and other related technologies.
- Keep cabling neat and in accordance with all codes and standards.
- Follow all safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on security systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with security systems, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their security needs, provide recommendations, and explain system functionalities and features.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies.
- Work closely with other technicians, departments , and vendors to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels .
- Keep current with the latest security technologies and industry trends .
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Perform limited travel as needed.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in security systems or related preferred.
- E xperience in installing and servicing electronic security including access control, low voltage, or electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems, networking, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with local and national security codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- W ork independently and as part of a team.
- P ass drug screening and background requirements.
- Valid driver's license and insurance-approved driving record. Maintain less than 3 points on fleet driving policy.
Physical Requirements :
- L ift 25 pounds occasionally.
- W ork on a ladder up to 20 .
- Work outside .
- Comfortable working in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Perform all other physical tasks associated with the job.
Job Type : Full-time, non-exempt
Hours : Monday through Friday
