About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience required

License : Compact or KY State License required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CCRN preferred

Must-Have :

ACLS

BLS

NIHSS

CCRN preferred

ECMO experience preferred

Description :

This position requires 2 years of CVICU experience.

Candidates must possess current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

CCRN certification is preferred.

Preference will be given to candidates with ECMO experience.

Local travelers within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.

Candidates should have experience in arterial line management and care of ventilated patients.

Central line care and management, as well as continuous IV sedation skills, are required.

Knowledge in interpreting dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmias is necessary.

Experience with pulmonary artery line / Swan Ganz monitoring and titrating cardiac drips is essential.

Candidates will manage ventilators and care for patients with various cardiac and pulmonary conditions.

Daily patient census on the unit is approximately 44.

The patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Candidates must successfully complete competency and skills assessments relevant to CVICU.

Compliance with required certifications and exams is mandatory.

References from charge nurses or supervisors must be provided.

Candidates should be aware of floating requirements within the facility.

Rehire eligibility will be checked prior to offer confirmation.

Compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.

This position does not allow for any license violations.
