The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for 6 part-time or full-time Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) or Visiting (Non-Tenure) positions at the visiting assistant professor, visiting associate professor, visiting professor, (visiting) lecturer, (visiting) senior lecturer, (visiting) principal lecturer, (visiting) instructional assistant professor, (visiting) instructional associate professor, (visiting) instructional professor, (visiting) associate professor of practice, and (visiting) professor of practice levels with the titles and ranks depending on background, qualifications, and experience with a 4.

5-month or 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning in spring, summer, or fall 2025.

Successful applicants will be required to teach; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program (if applicable);

participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession.

As the largest in student enrollment (over 2600 undergraduate and 280 graduate students) in the college, the department has 112 faculty members, including 36 tenured / tenure-track and 76 full and part-time academic professional track faculty members to support academic programs in electronic systems engineering technology, multidisciplinary engineering technology, manufacturing and mechanical engineering technology, information technology service management, and industrial distribution.

Department research expenditures exceed $10 million annually supporting areas such as embedded systems, communications, advanced manufacturing, intelligent product design and development, information technology management, human-computer interaction, robotics and automation, sales management, distribution operations and supply chain management (led by the Thomas and Joan Read Center for Distribution Research and Education), engineering education and workforce development.

Applicants should have expertise related to industrial distribution and should be capable of teaching courses in one or more of the following areas : industrial sales and marketing, leadership, strategic relationships, purchasing, quality, finance, and general industrial distribution.

For appointments at the Visiting Assistant Professor, Visiting Associate Professor, and Visiting Professor level, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline.

For appointments at (Visiting) Lecturer, (Visiting) Senior Lecturer, (Visiting) Principal Lecturer, (Visiting) Instructional Assistant Professor, (Visiting) Instructional Associate Professor, or (Visiting) Instructional Professor level, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline, or a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college / school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.

There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.

For appointments at (Visiting) Associate Professor of the Practice or (Visiting) Professor of the Practice level, applicants must have, at the minimum, a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college / school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.

There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
