Overview
Fairhaven is agency free and is currently looking for a Nursing Supervisor who will help us oversee the delivery of high-quality care within a clinical setting.
This position is responsible for managing clinical staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and providing guidance in the treatment of patients.
The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing homes, geriatrics, dementia as well as staff management. They candidate should have a strong background in scheduling and problem solving.
This role is essential for maintaining effective systems that support patient care and staff development.
Duties
- Supervise clinical staff, providing leadership and support to ensure optimal patient care.
- Conduct resident admissions / assessments to prioritize patient needs and facilitate timely interventions.
- Oversee scheduling needs and assist the on call person with filling shifts.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery for results.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Monitor staff and ensure adherence to facility policy.
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices and recommend improvements as necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nursing home practices and procedures.
- Proficient in admissions / patient assessment methodologies.
- Experience working with the elderly population.
- Expertise in conducting diagnostic evaluations within a clinical framework.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and practices.
- Ability to supervise and mentor clinical staff effectively.
- Understanding of systems that support efficient healthcare delivery.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
