Summary of Primary Functions : We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Union Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and manage a unionized workforce. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and fostering a positive working relationship between employees, union representatives, and company leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, labor relations, and workforce leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee daily operations to ensure projects, production, and services meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Supervise union employees, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements, company policies, and labor laws.
- Serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, addressing grievances, disputes, and workplace issues in a timely and fair manner.
- Monitor scheduling, overtime, payroll, and disciplinary actions to ensure compliance with union contracts.
- Collaborate with HR, safety, and senior leadership to support employee development, performance management, and workplace improvements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce operational costs while maintaining strong employee relations.
- Support labor negotiations and provide input on operational needs during collective bargaining discussions.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to workforce performance, operations, and labor relations.

Education : Bachelors in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Relations, or related field.
Certifications : N / A.
Experience :
5+ years of operations management experience, with at least 2 years managing unionized employees.Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, labor relations, and employment law.Proven leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to balance operational goals with fair and consistent employee management.Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or related environment strongly preferred.Key Competencies :
