We are hiring Special Education Teachers in our school district for the upcoming school year! Please see details below :
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Details :
- Special Education Reading Specialist
- Part Time (20 hours per week; 8 : 30a 1 : 30p, Mon Fri)
- July 1, 2024 - August 9, 2024
- Onsite ONLY
Caseload :
- The reading specialist provides literacy intervention to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Primary responsibilities include providing direct service to students, monitoring progress on IEP goals, documenting service delivery, and completing progress reports.
- The reading specialist may participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and / or classroom instruction, and / or contribute to IEPs and re-evaluation reports, as needed.
Requirements :
- Masters Degree in Education required
- Certification as an Instructional I or Instructional II Teacher by the Pennsylvania Department of Education is required.
- Certification as a Reading Specialist by the Pennsylvania Department of Education is required
- Certification in Special Education is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years or more of teaching experience within special education.
- Proven knowledge of student characteristics with respect to special education disabilities, especially Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, and / or Emotional Disturbance.
