Job Details
- Registered Nurse specialty in Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center Crisis Response.
- Contract length is 13 weeks.
- Travel experience is not required.
- Med / Surg experience with Heparin and Insulin administration.
- Ratios : 1 : 6-7 patients.
- Float Requirement : Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatient holding.
- Weekend Requirement : EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED, must be able to work holidays.
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team.
- Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster.
- Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid-contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
- UNIT ORIENTATION : 24 hours.
- SCRUBS : Navy.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience : 1 year.
- Skills : Med / Surg, Heparin, Insulin administration.
- Required Certifications : BCLS.
Schedule Information
- Shift : DAYS 36 or 48 hours accepted.
- No Overtime billed until after 48 hours.
- Scheduling based on scheduling gaps.
- RTO after booking is not allowed.

- Special Procedures / Unit Details : Insulin gtts, Heparin gtts.
- UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.

- Patient Diagnoses : Medical / Surgical Patients.

- Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.
