As part of a hardworking team technicians and engineers, you will build human rated Lunar Landers able to land on the moon In support of the MK1 and MK2 Lunar Lander Program.
This is a boots-on-the-ground, hands-on-hardware, assembly technician role. This is for the tinkers, the makers, the creatives, the pioneers, the problem solvers, those who own their role as if they are going to fly on the vehicle.
We are building a road to space, and a rocket that approximates the size of the Saturn V. The path is long, with challenges at every step of the way.

Responsibilities :
- Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
- Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
- Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and / or maintenance.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
- Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and other ground support equipment as required.
- Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
- Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if / when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.
- Work 2nd shift, 2pm-10 : 30pm, as well as additional overtime including weekends as requested.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years’ experience in aerospace or related fields
- Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict among other team members
- Ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment and the capability to drill and prepare close tolerance holes for fastener installation is required
- A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration
- Knowledge in the use of 3-D CAD tools to view models for assembly
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and standards
- Ability to support Monday through Friday 2nd shift 2pm 10 : 30pm and additional weekend overtime as requested.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.
S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired :
- 15+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration
- Experience with composite and metallic structure fabrication such as precision drilling, cutting, and assembly
- Experience with installation and maintenance of avionic instrumentation and harness assemblies
- Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight-critical hardware
- Experience with tube fabrication (bend, flare, fittings, etc) and pressurized system safety
