Position Overview :
Alabama Power Company is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team on a 12-month contract. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility while requiring candidates to be based in Atlanta, GA.
The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data analytics and engineering to drive insights and support decision-making across the organization.
Must-Have Qualifications :
- Proficiency in Azure Databricks
- Strong programming skills in Python or R
- Experience in predictive analytics and model development
- Demonstrated experience overseeing ETL processing
- Extensive background in data visualization techniques
- Proficient in Power BI or open-source visualization tools
- Experience in dashboard creation and presentation of data insights
- Knowledge of data engineering principles and experience implementing machine learning models
