Summary :
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursingcare for the comfort and well-being of patients. The RegisteredNurse (RN) prepares equipment and assists physician duringexaminations and treatments.
The Registered Nurse (RN) administersprescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, andmonitors patient vital signs.
The Registered Nurse (RN) observesand maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, andprogress.
The Registered Nurse (RN)participates as primary nurse, associate nurse, a team member orteam leader in the planning and implementing of patient care.
TheRegistered Nurse (RN) directs and assists in carrying out safeaseptic technique and procedures. The Registered Nurse (RN) offersleadership and direction to all support staff withindepartment.
A5 is a 27-bed cardiacmedical-surgical telemetry unit. We primarily care formedical-surgical patients with a diagnosis that consists of medicalissues such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiac issues such ascongestive heart failure.

Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursingcare
- One-year experience in nursingpreferred.
- Current Texas State RN License
- CPR (American HeartAssociation)
- ACLS required within 6 months ofhire / transfer date
- EKG required within 90days of hire / transfer date
