Pharmacy Data Entry Technician
Location : Boca Raton, FL
Schedule : Full-time, M-F 2 : 30 PM - 11 : 00 PM (every other weekend rotation)
Salary Range : $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
Description :
Join Guardian Pharmacy of Southeast Florida as a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician. This role involves providing crucial medication management services to long-term care facilities in a fast-paced, closed-door pharmacy setting.
You will work primarily over the phone to ensure patients receive accurate and timely prescriptions.
Key responsibilities include :
- Accurately entering new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
- Processing incoming fax prescriptions, ensuring timely documentation and reducing errors.
- Calculating and verifying correct medication dosages.
- Handling customer service interactions over the phone, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with doctors' offices for refills and managing cycle medication data entry.
- Performing additional pharmacy duties, such as filing, packaging medications, and inventory maintenance as needed.
Requirements :
- Experience : 3+ years in pharmacy data entry (preferred), but quick learners with the right skills are welcome.
- Tech Skills : Proficient computer skills and experience with pharmacy software (QS1 preferred).
- Certification : Pharmacy Technician license or certification required (state-specific); National Certification (PTCB) preferred.
- Work Ethic : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, focus on accuracy, and meet deadlines.
- Work Environment : Comfortable with weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts as required in a high-volume setting.
