job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in a 14-room Operating Room unit within a Level 1 trauma center Handles a wide range of specialties, including vascular, heavy ortho, general, urology, robotic, neuro, some eyes, endo / lap, podiatry, thoracic, and adolescent cases No cardiac or transplant surgeries performed Day shift schedule : 4x10 hour shifts, 6 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm Call is required EMR used : Epic experience preferred Responsible for circulating and scrubbing on a range of complex OR cases, with frequent vascular and orthopedic procedures No local candidates accepted within certain counties or within a 50-mile radius Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as travelers No travel pairs or groups accepted No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation Modules completed onsite during orientation and are mandatory Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Previous travel nurse experience required Robust experience in vascular, orthopedic, general, neuro, and urology cases required Experience with trauma and aseptic technique required Endo / lap and pediatric / adolescent surgery experience preferred High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
