About The Position
- Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Job Specialty : ICU RN Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night - 3x12 - 7pm - 7am Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours per Week Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience License : Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications : Current Basic Life Support and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques- Good verbal and written communication skills- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors- Some computer skills Job Description : Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments;
- note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients- Assist physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary- Administer medication as prescribed;
initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products- Deliver patient care competently- Interact with family and patient in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge- Inform patient and family of hospital procedures- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel- Delegate tasks to support staff- Perform other duties as assigned
