$2,542 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Ortho

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Med Surg (Medical Surgical)

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Day / Night Rotate

Hours per Shift : 36 Hours per Week

Experience : Minimum of 1 Year

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have :

Must indicate if clinician has previously worked within the health system with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.

All clinicians must badge in and out of the facility.

This location does not accept local travelers with permanent addresses within 80 miles.

Description :

Caring for patients in the orthopedic unit and joint replacement center.

Administer medications, assess, monitor, and prep for surgical procedures.

Administer blood products and provide patient education.

Work collaboratively with the care team, including C.N.A.s, to provide all necessary patient care.

The unit is an advanced certified total joint replacement center with specific quality metrics and standards for patient care.

The unit also cares for trauma patients and general medical surgical patients.

A team-based approach is emphasized, and staff work closely together.

EPIC charting is utilized for documentation.

Experience in medical surgical and orthopedic settings is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of experience desired.

12-hour night shifts are needed, with a potential for day / night rotation.

Nurses will never work alone, and there is no on-call requirement.

Floating to other units or departments may be required.

The bed size for the unit is 22.

Nurse to patient ratios are typically 4 : 1 or 5 : 1.

Dress code includes navy scrubs, with the option for a navy jacket if desired.

Orientation for travel nurses typically lasts 6-12 hours.

Cancellation policy allows for client cancellation up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.

This position is in an acute care setting with trauma level 2 designation.
