Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department.
Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
GENERAL DUTIES :
Responsible for the coordination of an organization-wide information resource which ties together clinical, fiscal and process measurement data to provide reports and information distribution for the organization. Ability to
prioritize projects based on organizational importance, resources available and required timeframes. Provides
customers within the organization with information appropriate to their decision-making needs. Assists in
coordinating and implementing performance measurement / tracking systems.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES :
- Will work under the direction of the CFO and CQO to ensure assignments are completed according to time frames and quality expectations are met.
- Assists in coordinating, implementing and benchmarking identification systems such as Core Measures, PSMS, Director’s Scorecard system, Balanced Scorecard system and QMOR support as a means to maximize meeting Pay for Performance programs.
- Responsible for the coordination and implementation of organization-wide :
- Use of solid, uniform data for decision-making
- Performance tracking and measurement systems
- Benchmarking and opportunity identification systems
- Integration of clinical, fiscal and operational process measurement data
- Project management as related to decision support / knowledge management activities
- Coordinate and implement performance measurement tracking systems
- Document assigned analysis / reporting projects as to needs, resources required, plan of action and timeframe. Prioritize projects based on organizational importance resources available and required timeframes
- Attends Department, Hospital, and Corporate meetings as assigned
- Meet hospital wide and department competencies
- Participates willingly in Department / Hospital process improvement plans
- Ensures confidentiality with patient and physician information and demonstrates understanding with HIPAA
- Responsible for other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
Required :
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business or a computer related field or three to five years of healthcare experience in management, systems analysis or project management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply technical knowledge to business situations
- Knowledgeable and demonstrates competency in quantitative analysis and reporting methods, finance accounting measures, clinical / resource utilization measures, system analysis, statistical analysis and organization specific data sources
- Demonstrates ability to independently manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Diligence, consistency, and accuracy in tasks
- Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others as a team

Days : Monday thru Friday
Pay range : $38.94 Minimum - $60.36 Maximum an hour
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

Education :
Required : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Health Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred : Master's degreee.
Experience :
Required : 5 years progressive responsibility in performance improvement / engineering including project management, meeting facilitation with both administrative and operational stakeholders, growth strategies / programs development, and leadership.
Preferred : Six Sigma or LEAN.
Certifications :
Preferred : Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
