Level 1 Trauma center with twenty-four OR rooms are used to perform the following types of surgeries : Orthopedic, Urologic, Gynecological, General, Neurological / Spine, ENT, Hepatobiliary, Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic, Podiatry, GYN Oncology, Thoracic, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Bariatric, Hand Reconstruction, and Robotic (General, GYN, Colorectal, Urology, CV / CT, Ortho, and Bariatric)

Surgical Center of Excellence in Hernia, Robotic, Colorectal, Minimally Invasive GYN and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Braselton OR

Seven operating rooms are utilized for the following types of inpatient and outpatient surgeries : General, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Robotic, Urology, Podiatry, and Vascular.

Surgical Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Robotic.

Braselton ASC

Braselton Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center offering new surgical options to patients in our community.

Our expert surgeons cover a variety of specialties and offer same-day procedures so patients can return home to heal more quickly.

The facility provides services in the following specialties : Orthopedics, General, Urology, Podiatry, and Gastroenterology.

Barrow OR

Small hospital of the Year 2023- Recognized for impact on patients and community. We have three operating rooms providing exceptional care to the community for the following types of inpatient and outpatient surgeries : ENT, General, Gynecological, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urological, Podiatry, and Ophthalmologic.

Habersham OR

Five operating rooms serving the Habersham community. Service lines provided : inpatient and outpatient surgeries : General, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Podiatry and ENT.

About the Role : Job Summary

Job Summary

Capable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.

Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning clinical bedside leadership role and seeks mentoring in this process.

Is a professional member of VOICE professional nursing shared governance providing feedback on issues being addressed at meetings.

Participates as a member on VOICE councils and Nursing Quality Teams as appropriate. Actively participates on Unit Council helping with plans to improve NDNQI nursing sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data.

Works together with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team. For the new graduate clinical RN : focuses primarily on developing knowledge and skills and showing growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients.

Responsible for providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and for coordinating care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.

Requires consultation with more experienced clinicians and accepts feedback as a constructive professional development tool.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications : Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
• Educational Requirements : Associates Degree
• Minimum Experience : Completion Peri-op 101 or equivalent and or experience in a procedural area
• Other : One year of experience as a professional RN. New graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the RN Residency Program.
• Preferred Job Qualifications
• Preferred Licensure or other certifications : National certification in clinical specialty
• Preferred Educational Requirements : Bachelor of Nursing Degree
• Preferred Experience : Two years of experience in specialty nursing field (Operating Room)
• Other : Membership in professional organization
