About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

License : Active nursing license required.

Certifications : BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP

Must-Have :

Candidate must have experience circulating for C-sections.

Candidate should be competent in immediate newborn care.

Candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Candidate will be required to float as needed.

Description :

The role involves caring for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater, including intrapartum and high-risk antepartum and postpartum care.

The unit provides an obstetrical triage area for patient screening prior to admission.

Routine outpatient procedures include antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration.

The unit handles scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage.

Expect an average of 20 births in 24 hours and 30-40 admissions daily.

The staff-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1.

All staff members are required to work a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage high-volume patient care effectively.

Candidates should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs, conducting sterile vaginal exams, and pain assessment and management.

Candidates are expected to be flexible and adaptable to floating within the hospital as needed.

The environment is fast-paced, with a higher acuity level than typically expected.

Strongly prefer candidates with circulating experience in an operating room setting.
