System Administrator
The ideal candidate will work closely with all departments to lead and manage networks and systems for the firm. These efforts will vary broadly from maintenance of information resource integrity to network security, software licensing, and the health of hardware throughout the firm.
They will need to have experience tackling various hardware and software problems. They should be comfortable providing technology solutions to employees and working closely with third party software companies to adopt new technologies and efficiently use existing ones.
This candidate should have prior experience working with information technology and understand the latest technology trends to ensure the technology in place is up to date.
Reports to IT Manager
Responsibilities :
- Computer / device provisioning and troubleshooting : iOS, Windows 10, and Windows Server systems and related hardware in a creative production environment
- Computer and mobile device management : Audit device inventory and security, updating deployments and policies
- End-user account and service administration : Filemaker Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, Sharepoint, Monday.com, and Microsoft Office Suite
- 2D Output : Manage and maintain a fleet of HP, Dell, and Canon printers and software
- Phones : VoIP config and troubleshooting, experience with Polycom devices
- Network setup and troubleshooting : Ubiquiti, LAN / WAN / Switching, VPN, Point to Point
- AV and video conferencing troubleshooting : Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Teams. Experience with video conferencing hardware is desired
- Web and development environments : Assist Web Development Team with domain registration, DNS, website provisioning
- Project management : communicating with stakeholders, determining and implementing solutions within given guidelines
- Writing documentation : end-user and technical process documentation
- Technical point of contact for all urgent technical issues. Occasional night or weekend work to run off-hours system updates or maintenance
- Occasional travel to remote offices for system setup or maintenance may be required.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer technology, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience providing advanced user support preferred
- 5 years networking experience preferred
- A desire to problem solve with a strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
