BGE , Inc. is a nationwide engineering consulting firm that provides services in civil engineering, planning, construction phase administration, and environmental services for public and private clients.
Our Atlanta division is expanding due to project wins and has an immediate need for a Senior Cad Technician.
Position can be leveled to Sr. Tech / Designer with advanced experience.
Job Description
- Top level Civil designer
- Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision; considerable CADD skills are required to visualize and portray complex design features
- May determine drawing sequence and presentation
- Has working knowledge of land development engineering criteria and understands agency requirements and approval process
- Works closely with Project Managers; may recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion and perform simple design calculations
- Reviews work performed by CAD Technicians I and II after submitting to Project Engineer
- May guide or be assisted by other technicians
- Prepare cost and quantity estimates
Job Requirements
- Prior professional computer drafting experience
- Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D is a must
- Should have working knowledge of CAD manual drafting techniques and CAD standards
- Knowledge of construction plan preparation for land and / or site development projects
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Works well in a team oriented environment
