About Us : Soliant is dedicated to creating a safe and healthy environment for students in the Tri-Cities area. We are currently seeking a committed and skilled School Nurse to join our team immediately.
This role will serve schools in Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, and Hermiston, WA.
Job Summary : As a School Nurse, you will manage the health needs of students, provide first aid, and support the overall well-being of the school community.
You will collaborate with students, staff, and families to address health concerns and ensure a safe learning environment across multiple campuses.
Key Responsibilities :
Health Services :
Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
Administer medications and manage health conditions in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and maintain accurate health records.
Health Screenings and Evaluations :
Conduct routine health screenings, including vision, hearing, and growth assessments.
Evaluate students health needs and provide appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
Health Education and Promotion :
Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
Develop and implement health promotion programs and initiatives within the school.
Collaboration and Compliance :
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support students health and educational needs.
Ensure compliance with school health policies, state laws, and federal regulations.
Emergency Preparedness :
Prepare and implement emergency health protocols and participate in emergency response planning.
Maintain and update emergency health supplies and equipment.
Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
Prepare reports and documentation as required for school records and compliance.
Qualifications :
Education and Certification :
Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) or an equivalent nursing degree.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
CPR and First Aid certification required; School Nurse certification preferred.
Experience :
Previous experience as a school nurse or in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
Experience working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
Skills :
Strong clinical and assessment skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of health regulations and best practices.
Work Environment :
This is a full-time position with standard school hours, with occasional flexibility needed for emergencies or meetings.
The position involves working within schools in Kennewick, Richland, West Richland, and Hermiston, WA, requiring travel between campuses.
