As a Manager, Project Management at Capital One, you will lead teams through high priority projects and programs for the company.

Day-to-day, as a Manager, Project Management, you’ll serve as the project lead of a variety of cross-functional projects and oversight for business-critical programs having moderate to high complexity.
You will become a subject matter expert and deliver data management strategies to ensure compliance and improve business efficiencies.
From problem solving across departments and levels to facilitating meetings and driving alignment on plans, you’ll have a wide range of duties to keep progress moving forward.
The ideal candidate can deliver in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Additionally, the candidate needs to be skilled in managing stakeholder and customer expectations, while concurrently maintaining delivery momentum.
The role requires a well-rounded individual who is comfortable adjusting their approach to meet unique needs across multiple stakeholder groups within a complex organization.

The preferred candidate will have experience working in Data Management and / or Risk Management organizations within a major financial company with a solid understanding of regulatory requirement management and applicability, controls, and 1st and 2nd line responsibilities.
Responsibilities of the Manager, Project Management consist of :
Autonomously lead a variety of cross-functional projects and potentially be the people leader for three to four associates
Delivering projects / programs with moderate to high levels of complexity and guiding cross-functional project teams to deliver well managed results across the org
Planning, designing, managing and executing project plans to ensure delivery. This activity includes management of scope definition, requirement expectations, planning, communications and implementation
Developing and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment and revising needs to meet changing requirements as needed
Ensuring projects are being delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk
Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and drive business continuity
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project results deliver on intent
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery and negotiate scope and timelines.
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
The selected candidate will :
Exhibit and demonstrate a track record of project and program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks and related expectations
Be an innovative problem solver and have a continuous improvement mindset to continue to create efficiencies and continue to evolve our processes
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
Display a passion for coaching and developing delivery teams through leadership
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Have demonstrated experience in various project management / problem solving methodology (waterfall, agile, design thinking, etc.)
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and / or programs simultaneously
Experience in People Leadership developing strong, effective and diverse teams
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 3 years of experience in Project or Process Management
At least 2 years of experience in Relationship management
At least 2 years of experience in Data management or data processes
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree
Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
5+ years of experience in Process management
5+ years of experience in Project management
5+ years of experience in complex problem solving
5+ years of experience in Relationship management
5+ years of experience in Data management or Data privacy legislation
