Position purpose : Maintain company standards, coach all staff to proper procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks :

Each day prepare each departments work and arrange carts, supplies, and report forms. Start equipment prior to the arrival of production employees.

Ensure all workstations are clean at all times, particularly when an employee leaves a workstation.

Reassign employees to various areas to accommodate workflow (provide coverage if necessary.)

Monitor production area of responsibility to ensure maximum efficiency.

Accurately and legibly record activity on production paperwork on an hourly basis.

Maintain data, compile a daily report, and give to the plant manager at the end of shift.

Ensure that established production standards are attained.

If productivity numbers are falling create plan of action with plant manager.

Prioritize work in areas of responsibility to maintain an efficient and constant workflow.

Ensure that loads are processed in proper sequence and at proper weight.

Monitor employees to ensure safety guidelines are followed and take corrective action if necessary.

Monitor employees to ensure safety equipment and protective equipment is worn if required, correct behavior when necessary.

Train new and existing employees in proper method of operation to achieve quality and productivity.

Immediately report equipment problems to maintenance and follow-up as necessary.

Follow safety rules and guidelines at all times.

Constantly monitor and clean area as necessary.

Wear personal protection equipment if necessary.

Ensure all work stations are clean at all times.

Must accurately prepare and submit all reports on a timely basis.

Record production activities clearly and timely on production report.

Conduct daily inspection sheet.

Qualifications :

Self-starter that can work independently and set the pace for the team.

Must have plant production experience.

Excellent communication skills and able to give clear and concise directions.

Must be highly organized.

Ability to prioritize and focus on multiple tasks.

Must be extremely flexible in work assignments and schedule.

Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Must have basic math skills and computer skills.

Physically able to push, pull, or move heavy carts of soiled and clean linen.

Physically able to stand, bend, lift, squat, stoop, and move frequently throughout the day.

Special Position Requirements :

Must be able to sort by color.

Preferences :

Plant production experience preferred.

Work Requirements :

Must be able to work any shift, time, holidays, and weekends.
