ProCare Therapy is thrilled to add a Special Education Teacher to our team for the 2024-2025 academic year. We are working with a district that requires full-time support for a K-12 caseload.
While the district favors candidates with school-based experience, they are open to all qualified candidates. Interviews are underway, so please email your resume to apply.
Job Details :
- Onsite near the Denham Springs, Louisiana area
- Start ASAP
students / sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state (LA) teaching certification / license in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
