Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team.
Location : Terryville, CT
Position Type : Maternity leave coverage
Salary Range : Starting at $35 / hr, Commensurate with experience
Position Details :
- Hours : Full -Time, 33.75hr / wk
- M-F 7 : 45-2 : 30
- Caseload :
Grade, 20 students
August 26 November 1, 2024
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide an optimum learning environment for all students
- Participate in, contribute to, and be supportive of group decisions and efforts
- Collaborate with staff and work in teams to provide instruction to students
- Engage in purposeful, deliberate planning for instruction
- Follow District and State guidelines for essential learning and instructional strategies
- Perform other related duties as required or requested
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Connecticut State Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Committed to the concept that all students can learn
- Committed to continuous progress and developmentally appropriate practices
- Sensitive to and skilled in working with a diverse population
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Skilled in relating well to students, parents, staff, and community
- Genuine desire to work with all students
