The Sales Specialist I is an entry level sales role that is responsible for selling transportation brokerage services by generating new opportunities and developing relationships with new and potential customers. Responsibilities include but not limited to identifying prospects, cold calling, cultivating relationships, servicing all customer needs, initiating and monitoring the completion of all customer contracts, requests for proposal and bids. The position will also be responsible for interacting and collaborating across other areas (finance, operations, legal, etc.) to ensure operational success for the customer / to communicate all necessary information to ensure operations has the necessary information to execute.
Essential Functions
Education
In lieu of related degree, a high school degree or GED and additional four (4) years experience in a customer service or related area will be accepted
Minimum Experience
2+ or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or related field
High school diploma / GED plus 4 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of an undergraduate degree
