Job description
- Perform all irrigation activities including, but not limited to, setting components, excavating and backfilling trenches, repairing breaks and malfunctions, and winterization of systems.
- Operate power equipment to perform irrigation services, including but not limited to trenchers, pipe pullers, boring units, plate compactors, line locators, drills, etc.
- Use irrigation hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, spades, pipe cutters, rakes, etc.
- Communicate with immediate supervisor about any malfunctioning equipment and all site problems experienced.
- Analyze property needs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain a high level of quality, efficiency and customer service.
- Full-time, W-2 position.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2+ years experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of irrigation installation, service, start-up, winterization, and repair.
- Previous experience operating a trencher, pipe puller, skid steer, and backhoe preferred.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to properly identify irrigation problems and take appropriate action to make repairs.
- Backflow Certification preferred or willing to obtain.
- Self-motivated and a quick learner.
- Possess strong social, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers and customers.
