Job Summary

The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate\'s area of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses from the department, which may be face-to-face and / or online.
  • Provide timely and effective communication with students; support student learning; assess student performance and provide timely feedback and evaluations.
  • Maintain detailed records of grades and student attendance.
  • Model professional dispositions and complete all required compliance training (online) from VSU.

    • Typical allocation of duties : Teaching – 100%

    Courses and Content

    Possible courses may include (examples, not exclusive) : Undergraduate Courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders (e.g., CSD 3070 Normal Language Acquisition; CSD 4120 Speech Science), Master\'s Courses (e.g., CSD 5030 Phonological Disorders), and SLPD Courses (e.g., CSD 9521 Single Subject Design in Clinically Based Research; CSD 9530 Social & Cultural Aspects of Underserved Populations).

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

  • Master\'s degree in communication disorders or related field
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting
  • A record of mentoring students

    Proposed salary : Commensurate with experience
