job_description.job_card.job_descriptionEvaluate supplier performance and provide feedback to suppliers Negotiate long-term pricing agreements with suppliers Evaluate potential new suppliers and qualify them as needed Ensure stock codes that have min / max reorder requirements do not fall below safety stock levels to prevent stock outs Find opportunities to reduce inventory and increase inventory turns and implement solutions Set material deliveries to optimize cash flow Other tasks as assigned Four-year degree or five years of purchasing experience in manufacturing environment Experience in Quotes, Bids, Lead times, Supplier evaluation, Forecasting and “Just In Time” orders Experience in the Aerospace Industry preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook Knowledge of purchasing through ERP Systems preferred Self-motivated, Team player, Strong organizational skills

Description : Purchasing
- Make purchasing decisions based on quality of supplier, best value, lead times and pricing
- Continually review production schedule for changes and adjust Purchase Orders as necessary to ensure deliveries are in line with production schedules
- Understand the MRP report and take action
- Work to reduce orders on Days on MRP
- Ensure a PO acknowledgement is received from supplier
- Attend the daily meetings and provide detailed updates for associated purchase orders
- Manage time and prioritize workload to ensure all associated tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Serve as InterConnect’s main point of contact to expedite material from our suppliers
- Follow up on POs with supplier to ensure on time delivery
