Business Development & Communications Content Writer
Help tell the agency story in both the new business arena, as well as with the trade media. This position requires adept writing skills, a strong business acumen and a keen understanding of the advertising industry at an agency and enterprise level.
The position will help support the business development team with content for RFI / RFP responses, writing case studies and content for the agency website, and this position will support the communications team with social post copy, content for PR opportunities and some light press release work.
What you'll do :
- Write well-crafted and compelling case studies of the agency’s work.
- Help craft and write the narrative for responses to RFI / RFP opportunities.
- Write agency background information including bios, business synopsis, agency process and approach POVs, description of services and other support materials.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the agency’s work (both recent and from the past 10+ years).
- Become conversant in the agency’s positioning, as well as partner agencies within the Doner Partners Network, and some Stagwell partners and platforms as well.
- Support certain DPN initiatives with content for credentials decks, websites and other needs.
- Help communications team with writing & editing for PR pitches, press releases and supporting materials needed for media engagement.
- Work in concert with the Doner new business team, helping create written content for quick-turn needs.
What you need to succeed :
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Related field.
- 5+ years of relevant advertising industry experience.
- Public Relations experience would be extremely helpful.
- The ability to write content for a variety of needs in the agency’s tone and style.
- The skills to write in a range of voices for discrete new business needs.
- A strong interest and passion for learning the agency’s content.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing details.
- Egoless, collaborative team player that will fit well with the Doner New Business team
- Excellent organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in an environment where guidelines and deadlines often change.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule when needed.
