Eminent Domain Associate Attorney

Note : This position requires a hybrid work schedule at the San Diego, LA, or Oakland, CA office.

Job Description

• Join a dynamic Trial and Litigation Practice Group, focusing on eminent domain cases.
• Engage in all aspects of litigation : pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
• Represent public and private clients in land acquisition for large infrastructure projects (e.g., transit systems, stadiums).
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, and develop trial strategies.
• Participate in depositions, witness interviews, and evidence gathering.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of litigation experience (eminent domain or real estate / real property experience preferred).
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven experience with law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.
• Ability to build a case for trial, including discovery, depositions, and witness interviews.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
