The Position We are seeking to add a Sr. Business Affairs Manager to our team in either NC, NY or LA. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of business management within the content production department.

Have deep understanding of business and legal guidelines for production, including broadcast, social, digital and line production.
Serve as advisor on all talent contracts, rules, regulations and best practices for SAG / union and nonunion productions.
Provide expert guidance on negotiations with and management of union, nonunion, content creator, influencer and celebrity talent.
Ensure production compliance with client MSAs and SOWs. Review creative materials for viability of concepts, budget implications, and potential legal issues.
Research and clear third-party property rights, including UGC. Work with producers in all aspects of production from generating bid specs, reviewing vendor bids, providing accurate estimates for talent session fees & usage, resolving any issues during production, to closing out jobs.
Issue or obtain appropriate documents for productions, including production contracts, production insurance declarations, purchase orders, talent, location, prop, and wardrobe releases, and any other third-party agreements.
Provide business affairs support for CYLNDR internal productions, issue contracts, purchase orders and handle any other business affairs needs.
Oversee production billing duties, reviewing jobs with producers and account teams, ensuring accuracy of charges, initiating posting of revenue items, actualizing jobs when required, and working with the finance team to invoice clients.
Supervise network clearance for assigned accounts from conception to final clearance, submitting supporting documents and cuts through clearance partners.
Discuss media plans with account and media teams to create residual estimates and provide guidance on most cost-effective ways of managing talent residual budgets.
Negotiate, draft, and review various agreements with talent, vendors, licensors, and other production partners. File talent session reports, completion reports and talent advices with paymaster, working in the Extreme Reach Adbridge platform.
Track talent and licensing usage terms and expiration dates, and ensure clients have timely notice of renewal options. Manage all renewal renegotiations.
Generate AD-ID codes as needed. Mentor and train Business Affairs teammates. Help educate coordinators and producers on production and business affairs procedures.
Maintain accurate records of job documents, contracts and licenses. Manage client onboarding and offboarding transition for production.
Back-up business managers on production workload overflow and vacation coverage. Work within any client designated platforms as needed.
Have the ability to travel. Stay up to date with current industry standards / trends and proactively make operational suggestions to future-proof offerings.
What You Need To Be Successful Strong organizational, verbal and written skills. Knowledge of performance union regulations.
Must be able to understand complex union rules and descriptions, and apply them to real situations. Collaborative and creative problem solver.
Ability to work under pressure in stressful situations while managing urgent deadlines, organizing and multi-tasking a variety of details in ever-changing situations and have a diplomatic and problem-solving attitude.
Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google Docs. Proven experience working in a broadcast business affairs environment.
