Summary

The Human Services Coordinator directs Outreach Services for the Ryan White program. These services include assessment, planning, monitoring, and direct supervision of outreach staff.

Job Description

Job Duties :

35% - Implements, maintains, and oversees the Ryan White Outreach program for the Division of Infectious Diseases.

20%- Reports on program data. Provides oversight in expected goals such as the 180 list, no-shows, and appointments by provider productivity summary.

15%- Coordinates with Ryan White Services, such as a Specialized Medical Case Manager and Peer Counselors, to further service coordination and help patients stay in care.

15%- Conducts home visits to reengage patients back into care.

10%- Attends monthly DHEC meetings, quarterly quality assurance meetings, and other meetings as required.

5%- Participates in community meetings and activities to promote MUSC Ryan White Outreach Services.

Preferred Experience & Additional Skills :

Knowledge of psychological, educational and developmental needs of educationally, socially or psychologically impaired individuals.

Knowledge of clinical supervision.

Knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques.

Knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques, differential diagnosis and psychometric instruments.

Knowledge of statistical techniques and research procedures.

Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to establishment and maintenance of community social service programs.

Knowledge of specialized needs in education and treatment for emotionally and / or environmentally handicapped clients.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with necessary agencies, organizations and interested public or private groups.

Ability to supervise employees.

Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.

Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.

Ability to organize and maintain a caseload as necessary.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Minimum Requirements : A bachelor's degree and two years professional experience in human services or social services programs.
