Job Description : The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients.

The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.

This 12-month residency program,starting, November 4, 2024, will include a combination of unit-based learning with a preceptor and classroom-based training and will help provide you with additional support as you begin your nursing career with us.

Various units are participating in this program, including but not limited to : InpatientPsychiatric, Chemical Dependency (Detox), Float Pool, Internal Medicine / Oncology, Medical Stepdown, Trauma / Surgical / Orthopedics, Telemetry, ED OBS, Progressive Care(ICU Stepdown.

You must have an active RN license prior to the start of the program but are welcomed to apply prior to obtaining your RN license.

Your day. As a RN you need to know how to : Recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind Assess a patients' medical status upon admission Assist in developing individualized treatment plans Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines Oversee care delivered by LPNs and / or CNAsYour experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect xcellence, which is why we require : ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license, required Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire (with prior approval), required (ACLS / NRP / PALS as appropriate for unit or service), NIHSS (stroke certification) which can be obtained upon hire.

Physical Requirements : Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
