Our Tax team is looking for the right fit to join our growing and collaborative estate, gift, and trust department. UHY is a national CPA firm.
The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in positively mentoring and developing our staff. Our client base is very broad and offers exposure to a variety of industries and returns.

The Senior Manager has mastered the skills and requirements of the manager role. The Senior Manager is developing greater leadership skills and continuously taking on greater responsibilities.
The Senior Manager is building the capacity to assist the partners / managing directors in assuming overall responsibilities in a variety of areas.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Regular duties include (but are not limited to) :
- Serves as a subject matter expert in the estate, gift, and trust area
- Demonstrates excellence in most advanced technical skills
- Complies with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups and enlightens and teaches the impact of such pronouncements to all staff
- Continues to develop industry expertise and stays abreast of industry news; contributes to staff development by sharing industry knowledge
- Recognizes complex technical issues, reaches appropriate conclusions and applies authority to support conclusions
- Participates in client related planning, where appropriate
- Effectively communicates all technical material to clients, verbally and in writing
- Proficient in use of necessary discipline software and applications
- Demonstrates excellence in client service and business acumen
- Ensures top quality client service and oversees total engagement activity
- Assists partners / managing directors in managing effective billing and collections
- Appropriately manages risk and ensures quality control procedures are being executed on all engagement activities
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience
8+ years of experience preferred in estate, gift, and trust tax compliance and consulting
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree :
- CPA preferred or 5-8 years of experience preferred in estate, gift, and trust
License / Certification
- Must maintain required CPE credits annually
- May possibly have other industry or specialization certification
Legal / Compliance
- Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document
- Government engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government
