We are looking for a Full Time Tree Service Team Member to join our team!

Qualifications :

• Prior experience as a tree service worker is not required, but humility and teachability are.
• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local law and regulation.

Responsibilities :

• Work with a team of 3-6 men pruning and removing trees in residential and commercial landscapes M-F.
• Drive trucks (including stick-shift transmission) pulling trailers.
• Drag brush. Feed chippers.
• Operate chainsaws, grapple loaders, stump grinders, etc.
• Rake up and detail landscapes after every job.
• Check and record a truck's assigned inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment every morning.
• Read and execute pruning prescriptions according to ANSI A300, complete work orders following ANSI Z133 Safety Standards, and fill out Job Feedback Reports upon job completion.
• Wear and maintain assigned appropriate PPE.
• Integrate with existing Team Members. Interact with customers in a respectful and helpful way as needed.

Compensation

Pending job skills and level of expertise, candidates with good references and tree-work-specific training and experience working for a company that follows ANSI Z133 and A300 standards will be eligible for up to $26 / hr starting pay.

JLH Tree Service provides tree pruning and removal services to residential and commercial customers in rapidly-growing Citrus County, Florida.

We have been in business for 20 years and are a small company with 11 full-time employees (1 salesman, 8 field-crew, 1 maintenance manager, and 1 plant health care specialist).

We run two tree work teams with chippers and chip trucks, towable manlifts, mini boom-grapple loaders, dump trailers, and a stump grinder.

We do crane work about twice / month. We have 3 trained climbers who have competed in ISA Tree Climbing Championships. We currently have five ISA Certified Arborists on staff and are always looking for employees who are hard-working, honest, intelligent, and humble.

We go to at least two seminars or training events as a company each year. We are a tight-knit, clean-cut crew in a drug- and smoke-free environment where we take care of and (generally) enjoy each other.
