We’re looking for passionate, dedicated individuals to join the School District 197 School Age Care team working with children in grades K–8.

In this role, you’ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Your Role Will Include :

  • Assist in the implementation and preparation of curriculum and enrichment activities for students Assist in guiding children’s behavior using a positive and consistent style Ability to implement emergency procedures.
  • Participate with children in activities.

Qualifications :

  • Two or more years of post-secondary training in education or a related field or passing the ParaPro assessment.
  • Experience working with children with special needs.
  • Experience with children with high needs in group situations, good communication skills, high degree of flexibility.

    • Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.  Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check.   Salary and Benefits :

  • Competitive pay, starting at $23.21-$24.91 per hour.

    • Location & Shift Times :

  • Garlough Elementary, Moreland Elementary, Pilot Knob Elementary, Somerset Elementary, Noreen Center, Elementary / Middle school Float.

    • Monday - Friday.  2 :

  • 00 pm – 6 : 00 pm, 4 hours per day / 20 hours per week. 2 : 00 pm - 5 : 30 pm, 3.5 hours per day / 17.50 hours per week.

    • The Noreen Center, Monday – Friday. 3 :

  • 30 pm – 6 : 00 pm, 2.5 hours per day / 12.5 hours per week.

    • Friendly Hills Middle School, Monday - Friday ​​​​​​​6 :
