Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services ( ). We are currently looking for a Senior Project Field Engineer to join our team for a construction project in Hawaii.

Location : Hawaii
Estimated duration : 5 years. In general, upon project completion, we aim to offer continued opportunities on other projects.
Summary :
The Senior Project Field Engineer will be in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to ensure the successful delivery of the project within budget and in compliance with the schedule.
This role involves upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans, and adjusting specifications as needed.
Main Responsibilities :
- Organize and control project elements to successfully complete engineering projects.
- Review project proposals and plans to develop project objectives in coordination with management.
- Identify project phases and elements, assign personnel accordingly, and review contractor bids.
- Define project specifications by evaluating product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Conduct technical studies and prepare cost estimates.
- Validate product performance through design testing.
- Develop project schedules by analyzing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, and sequencing project activities.
- Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and resolve problems to maintain the project schedule.
- Control project plans by reviewing designs, specifications, and schedules, recommending necessary actions.
- Manage project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data to recommend corrective actions.
- Enforce safety regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Maintain project databases by programming, entering, and backing up data.
- Uphold the company’s reputation by ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Shifts : Monday to Friday : 40 hours weekly.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer in maritime, concrete structures, or similar large-scale construction projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical).
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints, and preparing submittals for activities related to utilities, civil, marine, or mechanical works.
- Experience in managing subcontracts and ensuring the execution of works in compliance with project specifications.
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and project cost control.
- Fluent in English (minimum B2 level).
