About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : Step Down Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights - 3x12 hour shifts; with weekends and holidays as needed Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years required;
experience with Epic is essential License : RN License Certifications : BLS and ACLS required Must-Have : Experience with MedSurg / Tele / Stroke patients- Ability to care for COVID-19 patients- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved for a medical / religious exemption- Nicotine-free Job Description : The RN will be a part of the Nursing Float Pool and will float to all Medical-Surgical units as needed.
- Participate in the care of patients with cardiac disease and stroke on a 32-bed Step Down Intermediate Care Unit from ICU.
- Manage acute cardiac events requiring continuous intravenous medication drips, and provide care pre and post electrophysiology studies, cardiac catheterization, and pacemaker / automated implantable cardiac defibrillator procedures.
- All RNs must be Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified and Stroke Certified.- Collaborate with the CHF Program Coordinator and the Stroke Program Coordinator to deliver high-quality education for patients.
- The institution will not consider candidates with a suspended license history.- Flu vaccine required from September 7 to April 30.
