Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Join our client's team, overseeing the tranquil Corpus Christi Bay. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and professional nursing care to our patients.

Our client is the region's premier acute care medical facility, offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services, including cardiac, cancer, and stroke care.

We boast state-of-the-art facilities such as the Pavilion and the Critical Care Center, which house a top-notch Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and surgical suites.

Additionally, as a teaching facility affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine, we are committed to excellence in education and patient care.

Responsibilities :

Provide expert nursing care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.

Assist physicians during examinations and treatments, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures.

Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs to ensure optimal recovery.

Maintain accurate records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.

Participate as a primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and implementation of patient care.

Direct and assist in carrying out safe aseptic techniques and procedures.

Offer leadership and direction to support staff within the department.

Must Have's :

Associate's Degree in Nursing

One year of nursing experience preferred

Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

ACLS certification is required at the time of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain ACLS by the end of the clinical orientation period

NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire / transfer date

De-escalation training is required within 90 days of hire / transfer date

TNCC certification required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain TNCC within 18 months of hire / transfer date

PALS certification is required at the time of hire for experienced RNs; new graduate nurses must obtain PALS by the end of the clinical orientation period

Salary : BASED ON EXPERIENCE $27.30 - $46.40
