Entry-level legal assistant opportunity with a national law firm! Robert Half is proud to partner with an established, 50+ year firm based in Santa Monica that is looking to add to its team.
The Legal Assistant will provide critical support to our litigation team, focusing primarily on class-action cases. The role involves a variety of tasks, including document preparation, e-filing, and calendar management.
This position offers an excellent chance to gain exposure to a range of legal practices within a well-established firm that is dedicated to training and promotion.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys working on class-action litigation cases.
- Efficiently manage e-filing processes in both state and federal courts.
- Maintain and organize legal files to ensure easy accessibility and accuracy.
- Prepare legal documents, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements and deadlines.
- Manage calendars, scheduling meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
- Assist with the creation of tables of authorities and tables of contents.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth running of office operations.
- Adapt quickly to new tasks and responsibilities as required by the team.
- Contribute to the preparation and organization of case materials.
- Assist in various other duties as required by the legal team.
Compensation :
- An entry level college grad would get 72k.
- Paralegal certificate or legal experience salaries begin at 84k.
- Year-end bonus based on firm and individual performance.
- Medical, dental, and vision are covered 100% for employee and kick in 90 after employment.
- 2 weeks PTO, 9 sick days, and 9 holidays
- Participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with matching 25% (after six months employer matches up to 25% of employee contribution
No legal experience is required with a bachelor's degree.
People with previous legal experience and / or a paralegal certificate are encouraged to apply and will be eligible for higher compensation.
