Sr Manager, Security Technical Programs, Security Foundations

Security Foundations team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager (Technical Program Manager) who will lead a team to design and deliver security risk and compliance outcomes that positively impact our security posture at scale for Amazon customers and builders.

You will partner with security and engineering leaders across Amazon businesses to work backwards from customer security and compliance outcomes, design initiatives to achieve those outcomes, and drive delivery against those commitments.

You will operate amidst ambiguity, where the problem and strategy may not be defined. You will deliver clarity by leading through your team and collaborating with partner teams to define the strategic vision, and influence program and product roadmaps and strategies that will realize that vision.

You will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining a high-performing organization. As you lead a team of technical program managers, you will be responsible for skill development and career growth of your team members.

The right person for this role is an experienced leader and people manager with technical knowledge, business acumen, and a security-first mindset.

  • build trust and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes with partners through transparency and delivery on commitments,

Key job responsibilities

  • You will partner with security and engineering leaders across Amazon business and security teams to work backwards from customer security and compliance outcomes, design initiatives to achieve those outcomes, and drive delivery against those commitments.

  • You will support your team in driving business and program reviews, aligning with stakeholders, and establishing mechanisms to continuously improve execution.
  • You will be representing verbally and in writing complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to senior security and business leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience managing security engineering, risk, or governance teams
  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience working directly with engineering teams
  • 5+ years of relevant people management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic or equivalent work experience operating in engineering, computer science, or other technology fields
  • Experience managing programs and products across cross functional teams, and building processes delivering security outcomes
  • Experience writing and speaking to present risks or decisions to an executive audience
