JB&B values the voices and opinions of our employees. We are a team. We are a community. Summary of Position : The assistant controller will report directly to the Director of Finance and work closely with accounting team.

In this role, the assistant controller will coordinate the company’s finance and accounting matters with the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities : Financial responsibilities : - Management of Vision, the firm’s project management, accounting and time sheet program, including posting entries, entering adjusting entries, and running reports + report maintenance.

• Work with Project Accounting team to ensure Vision opportunity and project maintenance is up to date, and ensure standards are documented and followed - Accounts Receivable assist with AR as needed, provide firm information to clients for payment processing - Accounts Payable assist and review payments, assist in approving vendor invoices and track to budgets - Bank reconciliations, monitoring accounts, and other banking activity as needed.
• Assist / serve as back up to semi-monthly payroll and record in Vision - Assist Director of Finance with annual budgets - Miscellaneous tax compliance and preparation of returns as needed, such as sales tax returns, commercial rent tax returns, and new jurisdiction set up.
• Assist Director of Finance and CPA with year-end accounting, annual review, financial statement preparation, and tax extensions and filings as needed.
• Prepare firm performance reports and data analysis for RFPs and surveys - Assist in ERP migration and documentation - Other duties as needed.

Minimum Competencies : Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field, advanced degree or certification (CPA, CMA) preferred
• Experience : Five or more years of experience in Finance, AE experience preferred
• Skills : Proficient in Deltek Vision, (ideally with experience or exposure to other ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics) What We Offer Our employees are our greatest strength.
