Medix is looking for an Ophthalmic Clinic Assistant to join a team of professionals in providing excellent patient care.
This is a great opportunity to work on a team environment, as well as work one on one with patients in a fast paced setting! On the job training is provided ( no healthcare experience is needed! ).
Responsibilities :
- Call patients into their room for appointment.
- Record patient information using electronic medical record system (EMR).
- Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner.
- Perform vision and pressure checks and administer eye drops (training provided).
- Communicate and work cooperatively with patients, physicians, and personnel.
- Support imaging team as needed with patient testing.
- Train new hires.
- Assist with other responsibilities as required.
Locations : Main Office Location is Lenexa, KS
May travel to other locations around the KC Metro with mileage reimbursement (Overland Park, Kansas City, Lee's Summit, etc.)
Schedule : M-F Day Shift (No weekends, no holidays)
Requirements :
- Reliable transportation that allows employee to work in multiple work locations.
- Desire to gain experience in a professional medical setting.
- High level of professionalism.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
