We are looking for a caregiver and tutor for our twins age 11, who will be going into the 6th grade. Our son is smart, funny, laid back and very used to routine.
Our daughter has a leadership personality while being creative, wild, and free spirited. We have a split household, and the twins spend time 50 / 50 at each parents home.
The ideal candidate is nurturing and creative with their teaching skills and can incorporate hands on learning and outside nature breaks.
Getting outside is so important to us. It is important we balance the technology use with other ways to learn and do lesson plans.
We are looking for someone who would love to travel once in while with us and our children if we choose to bring our kids along for work trips where schooling will need to continue.
Compensation :
$25-$35 / hour, depending on experience
Recurring Schedule :
- Monday-Friday 7 : 30 AM-5 : 30 PM
- Potential opportunities for weekend hours
- The ideal candidate can begin working on 8 / 19 / 2021
Responsibilities :
- Help drive kids to and from school
- Support schooling / tutoring for 6th grade school year
- Working with them to ensure education is a priority
- Able to travel out of state with the kids occasionally
- Occasional errands for children
- Encourage kids to keep on routine and stay focused on priorities
- Hold boundaries while encouraging the kids to problem solve and grow
Qualifications :
- College level education required
- Ability to tutor 6th grade level Math & Science topics and assist with distance learning
- 1+ year(s) tutoring or nanny experience preferred
- Must have a reliable insured vehicle for travel
- Minimum age of 18, valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Comfortable with pets
- Non smoker
- Ability to travel out of state with children if needed
Our goals is to limit the stress on the family as much as possible so we as parents can truly spend quality time with our kids when we are with them.
