We are seeking a Stadium Operations Sr. Manager who will oversee the Earthquakes and PayPal Park maintenance, cleanliness and operational efficiency.

About the Position :

The Stadium Operations Sr. Manager is a multifaceted role that focuses on the efficient operation of the stadium. This role will lead a facilities and stadium operations team to oversee PayPal Park.

This person will be responsible for scheduling and tracking preventative maintenance and repairs for various systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural.

The Stadium Operations Sr. Manager is responsible for overseeing facility and systems inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while also maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.

Communication is key, as the role involves providing regular status updates on facilities projects, maintenance, and repairs, as well as budget management.

This person will report to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead in scheduling and tracking preventative maintenance and daily repairs at PayPal Park to including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural systems
  • Oversee schedule of facility and systems inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and schedule follow up with contractors for items that are not in compliance
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers, vendors and contractors in support of facilities systems while maintaining updated database
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvements and cost savings while managing risk and maintaining commitments
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate sense of urgency with regards to responsiveness with addressing any high-risk issues and manage risk proactively
  • Develop regular communication to provide status updates on facilities projects, preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditure items
  • Key member of safety team contributing to assessment and updating of PayPal Park safety program within OSHA standards including maintenance safety observation reports and log of safety repair work orders
  • Follow, maintain and update Stadium Operations OSHA and standard operating policies
  • Integral part of Stadium budget ensuring actuals are in alignment with forecast. Preparing budget for following year including CapEx prioritization.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working environment will all staff, departments, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate the installation of stadium signage, advertising and marketing systems as required
  • Maintain excellent record keeping on inspections, logs and documentation
  • Knowledge of building systems such as Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Fire Protection, Building Energy Management Systems, electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safe working techniques
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training both full time and part time employees; planning, assigning, and directing work
  • Proven ability to plan and schedule maintenance work and direct skilled tradespersons and technicians in the performance of their duties.

Qualifications :

  • A combination of a bachelor’s degree in project or related study, plus 3 years of experience in facilities management or combination of trade school completion and at least 4 years of related experience in facility management.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, manuals and schedules
  • Strong experience managing full-time and part-time staff
  • Efficient in computer skills, such as : MS Office, Outlook, computerized maintenance management system software
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn systems such as Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Construction
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in time sensitive environment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time and walk long distances
  • Excellent people and customer service skills
  • Coachable, willing, and able to learn quickly
  • Self-starter, work unsupervised and drive project process to completion
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays when required
  • Ability to be on-call when necessary

Salary : $80,000-$110,000 annually
